A lightweight, ultra-breathable triathlon cycling shoe engineered from innovative Aeroweave materials and designed to support a powerful pedal stroke and fast, no-fuss transitions.

Hydra Aeroweave carbon is a pure triathlon racing shoe that combines an innovative second-generation Aeroweave upper with a stiff carbon outsole for efficient pedaling and faster, worry-free transitions.

As transitions become increasingly important—now considered the fourth discipline in any triathlon event, be that a full Ironman race or sprint distance—we have redesigned our tri-shoes range to meet the requirements of the most demanding athletes. Transiro Hydra is built with a single Velcro strap to allow faster, worry-free transitions, where any mistake can cost decisive time. Additionally, the enveloping strap provides the strong foot support athletes need to be efficient in every race situation.

The Aeroweave upper ensures maximum breathability. Now in its second generation, Aeroweave woven fabric interlaces nylon fibers with filaments of thermoplastic polymers for an even lighter shoe that doesn’t lose its original tenacity, providing the strength and support required in competition. The new upper is also softer, which makes it the perfect companion for those who prefer to approach the biking segment sockless.

At the base, the R2 outsole’s engineered carbon-fiber layup saves weight and delivers increased stiffness, with a stiffness index rating of 10, making this outsole the most responsive in the fizik range. A wide vent inlet and deep internal channeling provide cooling airflow to aid in temperature regulation. The cleat positioning is set slightly further back compared to traditional settings to optimize pedaling efficiency and reduce knee compression—especially well-suited for very aggressive, forward aero positions typically adopted by triathletes.
